Observations were recorded every 3 or six hours for the first part of the record and then at hourly intervals in the later part when electronic measuring systems were introduced in the 1980s and 1990s.\n\ncdm_data_type = Point\nVARIABLES:\nPLATFORMCODE (Platform Id)\noperator (State)\nOwner (Data Owner)\ntime (seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z)\nlatitude (degrees_north)\nlongitude (degrees_east)\nelevation (Height)\nDRYT (Air Temperature, degrees C)\nATMP (Air pressure)\nWSPD (Wind Speed, knots)\nWDIR (Wind From Direction, degrees)\n https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/metadata/fgdc/xml/ADH_BAS_AWS_fgdc.xml https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/metadata/iso19115/xml/ADH_BAS_AWS_iso19115.xml https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/info/ADH_BAS_AWS/index.htmlTable https://www.bas.ac.uk/ (external link) https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/rss/ADH_BAS_AWS.rss https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=ADH_BAS_AWS&showErrors=false&email= British Antarctic Survey ADH_BAS_AWS

Both nets fished to a maximum depth of 400 m but sometimes shallower. Specimens were categorised to the lowest possible taxonomic level, which in some cases encompassed developmental stages but in other cases was limited to higher order taxa. Each taxa was enumerated to determine abundance in units of individuals m-2. The dataset allows examination of the distribution and abundance of these species within the Atlantic sector of the Southern Ocean over a number of years and covering much of the productive season from spring to autumn. The data for the North Atlantic and Arctic covers one season only (summer) and is limited to providing a spatial perspective on the distribution and abundance of mesozooplankton.\n\ncdm_data_type = Point\nVARIABLES:\nNet\nMaxdepth\nCruise_name (Cruise Name (click For Details))\nEvent_name\ntime (Start Of Event, seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z)\nlatitude (degrees_north)\nlongitude (degrees_east)\nEnd_of_event\nTaxon_name\nTaxon_class\nAbundance (Abundance (m-2))\nScientist\n https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/metadata/fgdc/xml/BONGO_NETS_fgdc.xml https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/metadata/iso19115/xml/BONGO_NETS_iso19115.xml https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/info/BONGO_NETS/index.htmlTable https://data.bas.ac.uk/metadata.php?id=GB/NERC/BAS/PDC/01316 (external link) https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/rss/BONGO_NETS.rss https://erddap.sochic-h2020.eu/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=BONGO_NETS&showErrors=false&email= British Antarctic Survey BONGO_NETS
